Porridge for a beautiful morning :)

2

Nothing makes me happier than some simple things in life…

Smell of books.Yes.That’s me!
Sound of pouring tea.Everyday please 🙂
British sense of humour.It’s hilarious!
Forest walks.The longer,the better.
My husband cheeky smile.Rather charming.

…and mornings.Of course.I freaking looooove the smell of possibility in the morning!

A beginning of a new day.A new blank page of our life. And an opportunity to fill it with all the things that make us feel alive. There is something utterly exciting and motivating in a thought of having a whole, fresh day ahead of us to learn and experience something new or to simply do what make us truly happy.

I think that how we start our morning can power our strengths and prepare us to face challenges we might encounter later in a day…and the secret doesn’t lie in what we do just after we wake up but in what we don’t….

There is something truly magical about early mornings (Note I haven’t got any kids yet so my enthusiasm might change one day!;)) Those precious, serene moments that happen just before the noise of the outside world leaks into our day, are something we should all learn to celebrate……in a slowly way.

  1. I like mornings, early mornings. Before I had kids I was not a morning person, I hated mornings, night time was my time, the witching hour was my hour. Now I’m falling asleep on the couch by 23:00 hours, and so I do have a certain amount of pleasure derived from early mornings when all is quite – son’s still asleep!! – and I sit at my kitchen table and have my breakfast silently, peacefully and with no hurries as I browse through my instagram feed. Ahhhhh the bliss of those minutes!! But no porridge for me, sadly, anything besides milk and bread in the morning turns my stomach!!

  2. Bea, you have such a way with words. I love your positively and more than ever in the past couple of months, I wish so much to see life the way you do again. I’ve all but missed summertime here in Australia (for being in Canada of course), and we just got back and I noticed how late the sun is rising, signalling that Autumn is coming. I haven’t been a morning person in like 8 years! Mostly due to the stories in my head about sleep. I am practicing mindfulness at the moment, and that is a journey in itself.

    1. Thank you Rachel,it means a lot.I hope you will feel yourself again very soon. You know,I’ve never used to be a morning person,I wouldn’t even understand why would anyone lie to get up earlier…and now I’m excited about every single morning 🙂 xxx

  3. I love how you make such a comforting and cosy winter breakfast feel like a ray of sunshine, Bea! I am a big fan of porridge, it is one of the only things that keeps me full until lunch! I’ll be making this for breakfast this week for sure! 🙂
