Mum’s Polish apple pie

1

I’m back!!!

2014 was rather crazy. It was a great year, full of amazing opportunities and I truly appreciate every single one of them, but there was also very little time to be ‘me’,to read books, to walk for hours, to watch movies,to get bored…and I really missed that.So I made a pact with myself.January was going to be my month, filled with lazy breakfasts in bed, quality time with my family, and everything I love but didn’t have time to do.It felt right.

I enjoyed that little break, I feel it balanced my life and helped all my priorities fell into place and I’m so happy to be back! And here I am with a very special recipe that always reminds me of home and brings back sweet memories!Welcome Mum’s ‘Jabłecznik’ aka best Polish apple pie 🙂

You’ll find this recipe at Life and Thyme, where you can also read my little personal story and I really hope you’ll enjoy it!

I also have some GREAT NEWS!I’m very excited to announce that Bea’s cookbook is a finalist in
UK Blog Awards!!!I still don’t know who nominated me(husband promised it wasn’t him!) but whoever you are-Thank you!

See you guys very soon!

  1. What a fantastic news! My he artful congratulations! May this award open door to multitude of great carrier opportunities for you Bea and above all give you the endless happiness, pleasure to do what you love. I am in Singapore now totally melting in the heat and humidity…the city is beautifully decorated for the Lunar or Chinese New Year celebration next week. BTW the jablecznik looks like a dream. Love – m.

  2. Bea, you don’t need to win any awards as you’ve already won so many hearts with your beautiful work. I just love this gorgeous European winter light, so soft and calm. This image really makes me feel calm. I am more of an apricot pie gal myself. My mum made it a lot whilst I was growing up and I haven’t had it in years. Really need to change that!

    1. Thank you so much Rachel for your beautiful words x I’m so happy to hear that you find this image calm,as this is exactly what I aimed to achieve;this recipe is all about nostalgia and I wanted this picture to reflect that.Do you know that I’ve never had an apricot pie?!This need to change too!i Wish we could make(and shoot) it together xx

      1. For sure Bea! I entered the Pink Lady Photo Comp last night as you suggested, really just because I want to come and meet you. In a perfect world one of my images will win, I will come to London and we can do a workshop together…omg. Lets manifest that!
